Hardin County Soil & Water Conservation District - Tree/Shrub Orders
The Hardin County Soil & Water Conservation District is currently selling trees and shrubs! Species, prices, and contact information can be found on the order form below.
To ensure availability, please order early. If you don't see a particular tree or shrub that you are interested in, please call the Soil & Water Conservation District office at 641-648-3463 ext. 3.

Iowa DNR Tree Distribution Program
- The Iowa DNR, through a partnership with Alliant Energy and the USDA Forest Service, is excited to offer private residents the opportunity to buy landscape-sized trees at an extreme discount! Alliant Energy customers can participate and purchase up to two trees per planting address at $25 per tree.
- Order forms can be found at the Iowa DNR website on the right-side of the page under "Event Locations".
- Trees will be available for pick up on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Calkins Nature Area (18335 135th St. Iowa Falls).
Bessman-Kemp Park Hosts
Hardin County Conservation is accepting applications for a park host at the Bessman-Kemp Park Campground located west of Alden for the 2023 campground season (April-September).
